PGR - Welcome Home Sgt William LaMascus USMC San Jose

Click on a pic for a larger pic, text for a pic is under the pic, pics are from top to bottom

Thank you Sgt LaMascus for your service, and thank you for inviting PGR to escort!!!

I have to tell a stoopid on me, I have a tank map, printed out the map to the staging place and cut most of it off as I wanted to zoom in on where DeAnza left the freeway... this was a few days ago and, well, age.. sigh... memory = 0...

So I take the DeAnza turn off.... didn't see the road, looked at my map and the freeway was 85, I took 280, sigh, turn around and rezero, heck getting old!!! GBG

So I finally get to the staging point feeling like a idiot, but I made it, took some pics of the folks and bikes.

We had seven bikes, which for a Sunday in the middle of Memorial Day weekend is quite good!

Brian is in the middle, a STAR rider, as is Rich (on the right), Dave (you can see him right behind Brian) and others, and rides for many PGR missions, and also attended my ride home from my "get off". I did not know this welcome home was for his step son!! Made it that much more enjoyable!!!

The rest of the bikes...

Folks chatting and getting ready for KSU. Another STAR rider back to us, I can't remember the name, but I think the STAR riders were by far most of the riders, Dave is on the left. Good on 'um! Gary on the right is a fellow ALR District 13 rider....

We had a nice uneventful ride to the Elks on Alma, did the normal and parked in the red zone!! GBG!! That's my "new" scoot in front, Goldie!!

Folks getting ready to go inside for lunch, and that was after we formed a flag line to honor Bill and family / friends entering the hall.

Rich is a fellow USMC vet and Ride Captain giving Bill a PGR pin.

It's always nice to get the PGR riders in a pic with the person of honor, Bill with the suit, you won't see many riders in a suit, in the middle and the riders around. It's nice to be in these pics again!! The ol' Cranky dude second from left...

Gramma and Grampa on the right...

Family members posing for multiple cameras... Had to get a pic of Brian and Bill..

Bill and wife with some bubbly... Very happy for them, glad he's home!!!

Getting ready to cut the cake.....I sense a power struggle already!!! GBG

They were finally ready to "jointly" cut the cake!!!

There seemed to be an "accident" as they fed each other a piece of their wedding cake!! Something "slipped"!!! GBG

It was a great ride! Lots of very nice folks and a good time was had by all, thanks again!!!
